The latest player under our scout's gaze is Colombia's Jherson Vergara.

The scout reports...

We start our summer of talent spotting at the prestigious Toulon tournament - an Under-21 competition for invited national sides.
As South American champions, Colombia were always looking likely to be one of the most interesting teams and indeed that is the case.
We check on the player we think is their star performer, defensive stalwart Jherson Vergara.
Vergara is a real beast of a centre-half, built like a typical English defender - he looks to have everything at his disposal.
Vergara has only just turned 19, but he already seems to have his future mapped out having recently been snapped up by AC Milan.
He started his career with Universitario Popayan and aged 16 in 2011 he was handed his first professional contract.
However, Vergara was already becoming known in his homeland after starring for the Under-17 national side and he was snapped up later in 2011 by Deportes Quindio.
But he soon found himself loaned back to Popayan, and it is with his former club where he has matured into the outstanding prospect he is now.
He really rose to prominence earlier this year - again on the international stage as he helped Colombia capture the famed South American Youth Championship, and it was whilst in Argentina that he attracted the attention of a host of clubs.
But it was Milan who were first to act and stepped in to seal his much coveted signature.
And from his appearances in Toulon it is clear to see why Milan made the move.
Two footed, comfortable in possession and he loves a challenge, as they say. Vergara is an athlete, quick and hard to get around, but he is also a very good footballer.
Confident with both feet, he can also pick a pass - but his biggest asset is in the air. 6f 2inanyway, he has a great spring and provides a stern test to any striker.

The scout says...

Looks a massive talent, one of the best young players - let alone defenders - in South America and has a huge future ahead of him.
He has chosen to begin his European journey early - but few clubs are better at nurturing talent than Milan and he looks in very good hands.
